Senior Volunteer Fundraiser/Grant Writer

Health Equity Initiative is seeking an advanced level volunteer fundraiser/grant writer to assist with fundraising strategies, development of fundraising tools, research related to grant writing, and grant-writing to maximize development results. The volunteer will help with different aspects of fundraising, including expanding and diversifying the donor base in all areas.

The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker, a skilled communicator, and an excellent writer with a track record in development. Qualifications include: commitment to Health Equity Initiative’s mission and goals, previous experience with grant writing/fundraising in the public health field, graduate degree in non-profit management or fund development preferred but not required, highly organized, detail-oriented and self-motivated, ability to work both independently and collaboratively, and strong computer skills with expertise in development technology, word processing, and spreadsheets. This is a great opportunity to expand on your fundraising and grant-writing skills while contributing to a very entrepreneurial organization, which is committed to helping create better chances for better health among vulnerable and underserved populations.
