Grantee Partners

Picture
As part of our board-initiated small grants, we support community-led solutions and/or capacity building efforts in support of health equity, which are implemented by our grantee partners. We are proud to support the following organizations that share Health Equity Initiative's vision and commitment to health, racial, and social equity.

2024-2025 Grantees

  • Alluvial Collective - to develop dedicated resources and impact indicators on health equity to be integrated in existing facilitated dialogue and experiential learning sessions with youth in Mississippi and help develop future generations of leaders committed to build more equitable communities.
  • American Public Health Association (APHA) Health Communication Working Group (HCWG) - to establish a health equity member committee and develop resources and events to integrate a health equity lens in the field of health communication
  • Grameen America/Grameen Promotoras - to develop a health equity-driven and skills-based training on advocacy and bias awareness/reduction, so that Promotoras are able to equip the communities they serve with skills to advocate for themselves in interacting with health and social systems
  • New City Neighbors - to develop and report/present on a youth-led and health equity-driven community asset map in Grand Rapids, which will inform future programs
  • People’s Theatre Project - to develop a focused training on health equity as part of the organization's theater-based Youth Leadership and Cultural Empowerment Programs for immigrant communities.
  • The Trevor Project - in support of the organization’s suicide prevention hotline and mental health equity among LGBTQI+ youth
