Challenging Implicit Bias: Exploring the Way Forward
May 18, 2021
11:30 am to 1:00 pm (EST)
Virtual Event - Co-Sponsored by Health Equity Initiative as part of the 2021 Sustainable Jersey Summit
Register

Engage in an interactive, guided discussion of implicit bias as it may show up in your municipality or school. This session will use a participatory approach to explore how local governments and communities may be affected by individual and institutional bias, reflecting assumptions based on race, gender, sexual orientation, ability, immigration status or other perceived identities. What are the challenges in your locality, and what ideas can we collectively generate on the way forward to an equitable, bias-free future? This session is co-sponsored by Sustainable Jersey and Health Equity Initiative.

Quarterly Socials
Health Equity Meet-Up

Many members of our community have expressed an interest to meet more often.  Our Health Equity Meet-Ups are an informal quarterly gathering to provide HEI members and broader community with an opportunity to connect, network, and share information.  Come catch up and relax with colleagues who share your passion for advancing health equity and human rights!  Meet with HEI Board Directors and members, and learn about the organization's plans. Bring a colleague or a friend!  At each meet-up, we will raffle off four annual memberships to Health Equity Initiative!  Open to all!

Information on the location or Zoom link of each event will be disseminated via our emailing list and posted here prior to the event, so please sign up here to stay in the loop. In the meantime, save the dates!
